Bush Telegraph

213.20150818_143955Onto our Middle Walk, about 2 km, a one-hour meander. Pass through the paddock gate into Long Run to see a fallen New England Peppermint tree. It has lain for years whitening in the sun.

In this land art installation I have used a mix of materials to represent the strength and hit-and-miss shakiness of bush telecommunications  and power.

From the wire and plastic big pipes streaming into regional centres, to the at times disrupted local phone, internet and power wires, and to wireless connections scattered here and there, it is improving yearly but basically ‘still regional’.214.20150831_110609

An art work difficult to photograph … it resonates meaning in location if not on a webpage.215.20150828_172702
