Woodhenge Portent

In WOODHENGE PORTENT, nature rushed ahead in creating and disrupting the main elements of this artwork.

Decades ago someone dug in these standing wooden poles, purpose unknown.

They weathered slowly until a massive stringybark crashed one wet winter. Another giant tree felled by a storm delivering a stark and solid frame for a provocative land art piece.

The trunk landed squarely on a wooden pole and this tree is still growing, sideways and upwards, spiritual in its existence and persistence – shades of Stonehenge.

Assisting your mind’s eye, future and past portents are suggested or conjured up by crystals and random numbers – in the black, white and gold of life – your choice, as makes meaning for you.
